The World War II Ilinois Veterans Memorial located in Illinois capital Springfield, was constructed to honor the 987,000 men and women from the State of Illinois who served our country during World War II. The memorial's website provides information, photographs and the personal stories of Illinois WWII Vets, who are encouraged to submit their own stories for inclusion on the website.
