Installed in 1962, the carilion in Washington Park is the third largest in the world, and one of the few open to the public. You can watch the 66 bells being played from one of the tower's three floors. For those who can make it up the final circular staircase to the top, a wonderful view of the city awaits. But don't despair - it has an elevator, too.
