Continue on with Lincoln sites at the Old State Capitol, where he gave his famous "House Divided" acceptance speech. The beautiful building dates to 1837 and has been meticulously restored and luxuriously furnished. After his assassination in 1865, Lincoln's body lay in state on the second floor in the House of Representatives.
